-
Clutch: Press the clutch pedal down fully.
-
Gear: Select first gear.
-
Release Handbrake: Lower the handbrake while keeping control with your pedals.
2. Observe
Perform a six-point check from the least dangerous to the most dangerous side:
1️⃣ Left blind spot (over left shoulder)
2️⃣ Left side mirror
3️⃣ Rearview mirror
4️⃣ Right side mirror
5️⃣ Right blind spot (over right shoulder – most dangerous)
6️⃣ Ahead – check the road in front
✅ If safe, move to the next step.
3. Move
-
Signal: Apply indicator if necessary.
-
Check Side Mirror: Confirm it’s still safe to move.
-
Bite Point: Raise clutch slowly until car pulls slightly. Hold it steady.
